I make, exhibit and sell finished pieces of art, paper goods and textiles. I am happy to take commissions for bespoke art and design work, corporate greeting cards and decorative textile pieces for the home. I like to think that my studio is an encouraging and exciting place to visit, where you can see me working or view my work in the adjoining gallery. I love to get visitors but if you are coming any distance please call 01328 856700 or 07941 784207 incase I’ve had to pop out.
Most of my pieces are made with re-cycling or re-using in mind, this means using what others might consider waste materials. The more I work, the more satisfied I am at being able to produce something by transforming already used items into beautiful or interesting pieces of art. Of course I have to buy inks and other mediums, but as for papers, fabrics and the like, I always have my eyes peeled for interesting ‘rubbish’ that otherwise might be thrown away. I re-purpose discarded art pieces, waste paper and print scraps.
I also create and exchange mail art with other mail artists across the world. This work can be seen on my Mailmaker blog.
I graduated from Birmingham Institute of Art and Design with an MA in Fashion, Textiles and Surface Design (2001). I previously graduated from University College Northampton with a BA (Hons) in Fashion & Related Textiles (1999). Debbie Osborn Art Studio is a member of regional organisation Fabcom and I am the co-founder and curator, with my husband Keith, of the Fakenham Art Biennial and Fakenham Makers Market.
